std or fungi

Hello Im sorry to posteriormente here but the other Std forums arent available. So in May 3 months ago i had vaginal sex with a prositute and condom broke. A month after that i had pain and discomfort in the bladder and after a few days constant urination that Would never end and a big discomfort in bladder. After 5 weeks i went to a urologist and did all the Std tests. They came back negative. I still had discomfort in bladder and constant urination, also i started feeling a burning sensation on my penis and below scrotum. So i went with another urologist Who didnt care muchas, Quick la exsmined me and said everything was fine but he told me to do a urine test as It could be a urine infection. It came back negative and he said It could not be an Std because i Would atleast show high White blood cells in the test if i was infected with an Std or something ( not sure at all about that) I developed after 2 and a half months some blister just below the penis head on the right side and on the left side some pimple looking bumps. My penis now looks fairly darker. The pimple dissapeared after 2 days and the blister after almost a week but left a Little scar that healed alone. Now on the base of the penis i have a weid pimple rashes and when i Pass my finger ontop of the penis it turns like gray. After 3 months Im still having mild burning Sensation on penis and below scrotum. And i noticed that the área where the penis stars has gotten more Red. I told my girlfriend everything but before i did i noticed She also had constant urination. She has gone to the bathroom for 5-6 times in 15 to 20 minutes. I plan to go again to a urologist. But last time i went he said i just had anxiety attack and that everything was normal. My gf of Course left me but i want to atleast know i didnt transmit anything to her. What could this be. Std or fungi? Thanks

I think it is what is causing the urinary problems and maybe the skin discoloration. But don't know about the blisters. We'll see. Your gf should maybe get a vaginal swab for culture done. Maybe just take the meds just in case. Do you know if she has any symptoms? She is an ex-gf or do you still see her? Be sure to take all the antibiotics.

Thank you for everything. Well Im under medication for like 20 days or so. After that i need to do another test and See How it goes. Wich test should my gf do? I hope this is what was causing the skin discomfort and blisters, and urinary problems. Because this have been 3 almost 4 hard months, I had made my mind that i was hiv postive or something, and that i had some serious std's. I still cant explain the sudden change in color of my penis, now being significantly darker. Thank you alot, you cannot imagine of How much help you have been to me!!

Hi and glad you wrote. Now I know what it is.
1. Strep. alpha hemolytic is not important. It is normal skin bacteria.
2. Streptococcus hemolyticus is another name for Streptococcus pyogenes which causes a bad infection. It is also known for causing strep throat and scarlet fever, endocarditis, and a lot of other problems. I am glad he is treating you for this. So YES your girlfriend needs treatment for this too just in case as it can cause bad infections.
3. Strep epidermis. is not important either and normal skin bacteria.

so now you know you had a infection. I hope you feel better soon. Let me know how it goes.

Regardless it isn't considered an STD. It is just that because bacteria attach to skin you could potentially transmit it to her. I don't know what the specific bacteria it is. If you could get that information by calling them or something it would help. Women have  a lot normal vaginal bacteria. It may or may not cause and infection with women depending on the type of bacteria it is. Alpha strep usually don't cause that big of a deal. So, I'm not sure what they are making a fuss about unless it is Strep pneumoniae which could cause an infection but more often in the respiratory tract, eyes ears etc. If you are worried and you can't find out what bacteria it is she could be treated just in case (even it we don't know that it would cause an infection). It just is not good to take antibiotics for no reason. Did he say she should take them as well? If so then tell her about it. I am just telling you what I know about. Sometimes doctors treat whether or not you have have an infection to prevent one instead.

Thanks again! Yeah i will take the antibiotics and ask her to test! Also, I cant seem to get a clear answer, Well no answer at all as to why my penis is getting more Brown. It is more visible as time goes by. Before this exposure it used to be very clear in color. Now the part below the head, the mucus part. Has a Brown Spotify, completely flat, just as It was a skin change in color. And some others in the same area but in the sides. I look like the cows that have Black sports just that mine are Brown. And at first when my penis was not erect you could See a slight change in color from the start of the penis. Wich still has the actual color, and as you went up it looked like tanned. But when it was erect the color looked normal. Now when erect you can clearly See it looks like tanned and other parte on the bottom even more Brown. Its diving me nuts because doctors seem to think Im imaging it but the fact that i check myself constanly has made me aware its appearance is chanfing, and i still remember How it was

Hi, That is great that you are clear of HIV after 3 months. Also the other bacteria. I don't know which strep this is. But usually strep viridans doesn't cause and infection but if it is Strep. pneumoniae it can cause an infection but in the area it is in it isn't serious. So, if the doctor says to take the antibiotic take it. I wouldn't worry about your gf or ex getting it. You could ask her if she has any problems if you talk to her but it isn't an STD. If she has no problems I wouldn't worry about it. I hope this does clear up your urinary problem. No it isn't like Chlamydia or those diseases.

He said all the other results were fine. Except for this bacteria, and that the increased mucus in the urine test Would also suggest an infection of that type. Hiv was done first time at 5 weeks and now its been more than 3 months. Id say 3 months and 2 weeks or 1 week. He said i have to restrain from alcohol ( i dont care since i dont even drink) and from sex for atleast 2 weeks. And that he wants to do another culture when the medication is finished. Could this be the only problem with me? Since i have done, chlamydia, gonorrea, syphilis, hiv, herpes, urine tests, sugar test, blood test, Semen test, uretra swipe test, first at 5 weeks and Then again at 3 months i just didnt do chlamydia at 3 months because he didnt ask in the form to be tested for that. Should my gf Well ex gf be tested also for this since She was also having constant urination, and How serious is streptoccocus?? Is It like chlamydia and those deaseases? I just cant find information of it over the Internet. Thank you very much mkh9 :)

Hi. So i came back from the urologist and he said that the constant urination and skin rashes like blisters. ( Wich seems to be improving. Now its a Pink área with dry skin on top) like healing, are cause of streptoccocus since it can affect the uretra and skin. And that the burning Sensation below the testicles is also because of the fact that the infected área goes through there. He said that if i wasnt diagnosed with it, it could have turned into a chronic uretritis. Well somewhat like that im sorry but Im terrible at medical explanations since i barely understand haha!
Well the first test said cocos gram positive, and after it was studied for more time i think streptoccocus alpha hemolitic grew in the cultures.
He left me antibiotics Wich are this ones.
1) primeris lenofloxacine  750mg 1 tablet a day for 15 days.

2) permixon 160 2 tablets a Day for 30 days.

3) fucidine h cream 3 times a Day for 10 days.

He said one is to help with the Protect the uretritis, the other is to kill the bacteria, and the crean is to help with the healing and discomfort on the skin and to kill bacteria in that área.

What do you think? Thank you again!!!

Good to hear that the HIV was negative. How many months is that? The semen analysis is strange. Normally semen is not sterile and so the alpha streptococcus is usually normal depending on what type of bacteria they isolated. Did they identify which type of alpha strep it was? If it is pneumococci or strep pneumo this would be treated with antibiotics but if it is viridans strep then it would not.  Maybe you can ask them what type it is? Did the doctor want to treat you with an antibiotic since they did a antibiotic sensitivity test? You need to find that out. No this has nothing to do with Chlamydia or Mycoplasma. They are totally different bacteria. No I think you were possibly right about the skin looking like psoriasis. You should see a dermatologist or rheumatologist. The urination could potentially be affected if you had an infection but it would probably be often and a little bit at a time not a lot. Does this help?

Hi. So results Re back, hiv negative. Tho in the Semen culture, and uretral swipe and culture it appeared: streptoccocus alpha hemolitic aislated. In both, and It says it is susceptible to levofloxacine, cefalotine, peninciline, ampiciline, and amoxiciline clauvanic acid. What. Could this be? Could this be a sign of chlamydia or mycoplasma. And Does this explain the constant urination and the weird blisters that now look like dry skin? Thanks you again

Does it have that raised look that the psoriasis has? If so then it may be psoriasis. You need to see a dermatologist or rhematologist.
Yes It wouldn't explain the urination.
take care,

Hi, I have been looking over the Internet for pictures. Since i cant and here one of my own. And found this one that looks really similar. Mine is not that big tho, and its located on the right side of my penis. I think its something called psoriasis Ill leave you the link:
http://www.google.com/search?q=penile+psoriasis&hl=es-ES&tbm=isch&prmd=ivns&ei=hYkCVJOnM8nxgwS5roCwAw&start=40&sa=N#i=1

But this woudnt explain the constant urination for over 2 months and the pain in the bladder tho. Well tomorrow i think Ill get the rest of the results and i have an appointment with the urologist on monday. Ill let you know How everything goes. Thank you again! You have been of great help

Well, I looked up constant or frequent urination and it said:
1. diabetes
2.enlarged prostate
3. Interstitial cystitis
4. drinking too much water (more than 8  glasses of water or a mix of 8 glasses of water or tea /coffee etc) a day.
5. Diuretic use.
6. Urinary tract infection (you already checked this).

Have you checked you blood sugar? I can't recall.
You can have the doctor check the prostate if he hasn't to see if enlarged.
do you take Diuretics to lower your blood pressure or other reasons?
I would think if you had cystitis the kidney function tests you had would be off but I don't know for sure.
regards,
mkh9

Sorry you are stressing so much. That is great that all your results are negative so far really!! So the FTA being negative means you don't have Syphilis, and no herpes eihter. It is great. Well,  you should still get tested for the Trichomonas, Mycoplasma genitalium and Ureaplasma by a molecular method. After that if these are negative you don't have an STD or non-gonococcal urethritis either. So, if you can do those that would rule out all these things. As for the pimples maybe see a dermatologist? Or you could see if they are HPV. But they may not be because these are usually irregular shaped. Remember these are just superficial and non harmful (meaning the HPV). But if you have them there are ways to get rid of them. How long did you wait after you had the HIV test done. (I don't think you have this!!!) Just that usually people get retested after 3 months and 6 months to be sure. 3 months is really fine. 6 months is just for a few people who have immune systems that are low to start with. It is a just in case to make sure kind of thing. It has nothing to do with your symptoms. You don't have symptoms. So don't worry. Just good to get it done. I know it is not fun to have to wait but it is a precaution not because you have it. After the 6 months you are totally clear.  Otherwise, I don't know why your urinating so much since you checked your kidneys and don't know what else the pimples are. So not sure what else to say except see a dermatologist for it.

My neighbor is from Guatemala too. And one of my friends is also. Nice people from there. I wonder if it is HPV genital warts? I guess you will have to go by what the doctors think on this one. You haven't received the FTA results back yet right?  It doesn't sound like that though. It is usually one chancre sore. But it is still good they did that test. Your doctor didn't seem to think that it was anything when you showed it to him? Maybe that is why he did the syphilis test. I don't know. You could google HPV male genital warts to see if looks like those. It doesn't have severe itching right? If you look with a magnifying glass do they look irregular shaped like cauliflower and flat?
http://www.medicinenet.com/stds_pictures_slideshow/article.htm
so they would be much much smaller. I wouldn't worry too much. If it was HPV they have creams or they can freeze them off. It may not be an STD since you were tested for everything. So, try not to stress over this. Stress only makes things worse.

Hi! I'm from Guatemala, and Im glad you can understand my translation. Haha! Well the blister that is left, is light Red almost like Pink. With small dots, sometimes it looks as id it was dry and turns grey. Sometimes part of my penis has just Red lines as id i had scratched it. And It has gotten fairly darker, this has me troubled because tests are normal ( up to now) and my symptoms might not be Std related but They started appearing after that exposure. Im freaked out because i dont know what it might be. I still have this mild burning Sensation on the genital area, and discomfort in bladder with more urination than usual. I add to that the blisters that have been coming and going. (tho one remains still and It has passed more than 2 weeks since it appeared) and the weird change in penile color. Mine with pale now part of it is very dark and sometimes with Red areas

The results you gave me are normal. So that is good. It is normal to have those types of bacteria. What country are you from? I can understand your translation you doing a good job. Are the blisters really small and painful? Or are they brown? or skin colored?

Thank you again! Results are back, part of them atleast. Since i still have to wait for cultures. Cardiolipine came back negative Wich i guess means i have no sífilis. Complete blood and urine tests looks normal, acording to the reference normal values. Semen culture and "uretral swipe" ill call it that way since i dont know its actual name. But is the test where They introduce a stick inside your penis. Gave this results ( ill try my best to translate them again)

1) cocos gram positive, loose in pairs and small groups- REG. QUANTITY.
2) bacilos gram positive- barely any
3) epitethal cells - REG QUANTITY
4)polimorfonucleic leucocites- eventually

I still have to wait for the other tests atleast a Couple of days. Yeah i still have a part of my penis with this small blister. At times it is Red ad times skin color. I showed it to him, he didnt comment what it could be the. Maybe he gave it Little interest. It looks like a Red area with small bumps, and now It is getting a little like dry. The first blister i got below the penis head área dissapeared a week ago. Thanks again. Ill let you know How the other tests went
