Insomnia in Dysautonomia

Is there any safe treatment for insomnia in Dysautonomia?  I take medication to raise my blood pressure, but even still have moments when it's too low to get an accurate read.  How do you treat insomnia without lowing blood pressure, heart rate, or respiration?

I recently asked one of my doctors about Melatonin.  He told me, (sarcastically I assume), that it would probably put me into a coma.  I'd appreciate any suggestions.

The safest and most effective method for treating insomnia is a non-drug therapy called cognitive behavioral therapy. See my website for more information on CBT.
