I could not find anything here in digestive diseases but I suffer from Barrett's esophagus and reflux. I take a lot of medication but it does not help. In the past few months when I feel the reflux, I get so sweaty I am literally dripping with sweat. This also occurs so much at night I am awaked from a sound sleep dripping in sweat and having reflux. I cannot have endoscopes and and am already on nexium. I am menopausal but don't think that would cause this as I had it surgically removed years ago. I do not take hormones because of t he heart disease that runs in my family. Is it possible my relux is so bad it is causing me to sweat like this?
Since this is a question pertaining to reflux, it cannot be answered by an insomnia specialist and must be answered by the doctor who treats your reflux and prescribes your medication.
