sleep movement disorder?

sleep movement disorder?

Could somebody please help me?  My husband is 34 years old and for the last couple years when he falls asleep, he has involuntary finger movements that become very jerky.  They happen on a continual basis for about 4-5 hours straight!  The movement actually causes the bed to shake.  It ALWAYS happens ONLY with his right hand.  I had him start sleeping on his side, and now his RIGHT butt cheek shakes continously for 4-5 hours causing the bed to shake again.  Has anyone ever heard of this?  Could he have a tumor of nerve related disorder?  He is unaware of it, but it bothers me.
