Chlamydia and Infertility

When a person has Chlamydia, How long does that person have to have it before it can cause any permanent damage?

It depends. If you had only cervical chlamydia and it was treated in time then there would be no permanent damage. If you had pelvic inflammatory disease ie a more severe pelvic infection from chlamydia then it could have done damage to your tubes. If you are trying to get pregnant and you had a history of chlamydia in the past then I suggest having a hysterosalpinogram (HSG) to see if your tubes are open.
