HYSTEROGRAM

HYSTEROGRAM

I have been TTC for 3 years now and my husbands semen analysis is ok and I have been ovulating fine though I have a slight PCO.  Everything was very promising last month like the responses to medicines and all the test I had including the folicle monitoring but in turn, I still had a negative result.  I had my first hysterogram last month.  I was told that there is a posibility that my tubes were blocked.  The reason behind is still unclear though and I was told that I have to repeat the process with anesthesia to relax my mucles around.

This is what happened: when the first dose of saline solution was given to me, the majority of the dosage stayed on the cervix area and did not pushed thru, only a bit of it passes thru my left tube then stopped.. (they said that it was posibly blocked).. they injected more solutions hoping that they will see it flow inside but instead, all the solutions came out of my vagina including the little amount that got stuck in my left tube.. the tried it one last time but the worst thing is that even the balloon that was created inside was also pushed out of my organ and none of the solution was permitted by my body to flow inside (everything came out from my vagina)..

Does this mean I have too much pressure or air inside the body that it is not allowing anything to pass-thru? Is it also caused by infection or possibly a very strong immune system?  I'm afraid to have a second round of hysterogram because it may happen again..

Please enlighten me.  Thanks!

No, I think it is a technical problem of the balloon being pushed out because there was too much pressure because the sinografin could not go through the tubes.
I do not feel that you have an infection or immune system problem.
I would suggest trying another one because the other alternative is to have a laparoscopic surgery with chromotubation (ie inject dye into the tube and watch by laparoscopy to see if the dye flows out.)
