I want to be pragnant

by baby85, Nov 12, 2008 03:28AM
I am waiting to conceive for last four months but I am not getting pregnant. I have consulted to Gynaecologist and according to doctor I have done some tests also, namely

   1. FSH        outcome is     5.93mIU/mL
   2. LH           outcome is    12.48mIU/mL
   3. Prolactin   outcome is    5.22ng/mL
   4. T3            outcome is    .92 ng/mL
   5. T4            outcome is    6.50 ug/dL
   6. TSH          outcome is    6.46 uIU/mL
   7. Heamoglobin outcome is     10gm
   8. USG of whole Abdomen is found to be normal

I am taking the thyrox .025mg for last two months. Further, I am having irregular period. It is due from 27th of October 2008 to till now. The above tests are performed last two weeks.

I will remain thankful if you suggest some about my fertility.

thanking you

Yes, it is good that you are thyrox. I suggest that you see a specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  Hopefully, your periods will become regular as your thyroid normalizes--that is crucial however, if you still have irregular periods, you may need further work up ang=d treatment and that is where an REI specialist will be very helpful to you.  You should have your thyroid tested again after taking the replacement for 6 weeks to see if your thyroid is normal and if it is and you are still having irregular cycles then you will need further testing and treatment. (Possibly because the LH is higher then the FSH which could mean you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome,)
