MTHFR

I just wanted to Thank you so very much for all of your help, and your time! It means so much! they found that I have homozygous C677T MTHFR, I had a chemical pregnancy this cycle, so the asprin was a little too late : ( .. We will be starting back to injections (follistim+femara) and now added baby asprin, folate, and then heparin during the luteal phase of my next cycle.. I hope this is our answer!  We have had a total of four miscarriages (2 chemical, one blighted ovum that had no bleeding until week 11, and one 6 week loss) We have never seen the heartbeat..My RE didnt' seem overly confident that this is our answer to our recurrent loss, since they seem to have problems pretty early on. If we start the heparin early - mid luteal phase, shouldn't that help? whats your opinion on the relation to our recurrent losses and our new diagnoses of MTHFR?  Thanks so much!

Yes, your REI is correct in that homozygous C677T MTHFR mutation is controversial as to whether it causes first trimester miscarriages however some studies show an association. I would suggest being on high doses of folic acid like 4 to 5mg per day, baby ASA 81mg and heparin or lovenox. One good brand of folic acid is called MetanX which contains B12, and B6 too.
