Progesterone levels and ovulation

by MJ361, Feb 28, 2008 01:47PM
I was placed on Clomid, 50mgs, cycles days 3-7 this past month. I had my progesterone levels tested on cycle day 25. They were 4.4 Subsequently, I got my period on cycle day 27. I believe I ovulate normally when not on Clomid. I am currently trying to get pregnant.

Was my progesterone test done too late in my cycle, hence the reading of 4.4?  Or, did I not ovulate, and that is why the reading is so low?

Yes, it was probably done too late. I would check it 7 days after ovulation. You should know when you are ovulating on clomid by ultrasound monitoring with HCG injection or by ovulation kit monitoring.
