Question on FH & LSH Levels

Hi:

I am 37 year old male. I have been having persistent problems with ED & Sex Drive for the last 10 years. Around that time my doctors had determined that I switched from hyperthyroidism to Hypothyroidism. I found that strange, but the doctors never investigated why this shift happened.

Anyway recently I finally got a testerone level test done and it came in at 198 which is lower than the normal level. Semen Analysis indicated all is normal except for 100% poor morphology. LH was 2.3 and FSH was 2.9 in the lower range.

Can someone help me make sense of these results? What is the issue? I have a feeling my thyroidism/low testestorone/fertility issues (we have been trying for over 5 years)/low sex drive/weight gain are all linked.

Thanks a lot

Sorry for the misspelling iet varicocele.  This s varicose vein of the testicles which cause increased heat and therefore decreased normal sperm ie poor morphology.  I suggest seeing a specialist in male fertility like  a urologist and do a work up. If they can find nothing to improve the morphology then you may have to do IVF with intracytoplamsic sperm injection.  I presume you are interested in fertility. If you are not interested in fertility then you can try testosterone replacement to improve libido and ED.

It could be related to the hypthyroidism and I hope you have started thyroid replacement then you should recheck your testosterone and if it is still low, you may try to have replacement. However, if you are trying to get pregnant then you should not be on testosterone replacement and instead need to work up for poor morphology like a varicocle.
