Vitex/Chaste tree

Hi Dr. Kim,

A brief hx: we have secondary IF with no known cause, I'm 35 and husband is 41 with normal SA.  We've done total of 3 IUI with Follistim and all came back negative.  We're not doing IF treatments anymore but I wanted to try herbs.  I have heard that vitex or chaste tree berries can help with IF.
What is the dose of vitex I should be taking?  I'm using the tincture form.  Do I take it during the LP too or only before ovulation?  Are there other herbs that can help with it?

Thank you very much.

I do not suggest using vitex or chaste tree berries alone for infertility. I do not feel you should be treating yourself with herbs. I would suggest going to see a reputable specialist in chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. That is the best approach to using herbal therapy.
