Worried and confused

Dear Doctor,
I am a young woman of 26 years. My menstrual cycle has always been regular, the last 4 years a 28 days cycle.Have never had any kind of infection. The last months i've had vaginal itching, burnings and a lot of discharges (no odor just alot that makes me feel uncomfortable). I am not sexually active,(ive had sex the last year which was the first and last time), but having the symptoms i had, made an appointment with the gynecologist. She saw me and said that i had redness and discharges, she said a typical yeast infection (however the vaginal discharge culture was good) and prescribed me 4 tablet of cefadril 1g, and 3 vaginal ovules of gyno-pevaryl 150 mg. I took only 3 pills out of 4 because i'm feeling slight itching again, maybe from the antibiotic or because i am too worried. Is yeast infection permanently cured with these medicines? What herbal medicines can i use like garlic or eat alot of youghurt to prevent the yeast come back again?

Unfortunately Cefadril can promote another yeast infection and so you may have to take Gyno-pevaryl again for the complete course. Taking live acidophilus cultured yoghurt can help prevent yeast coming back and you should avoid tight panty hose and wear only new cotton underwear or no underwear for a time.
