I think that teens can take birth control pills. The risk of birth control pills can be a 1 in 50,000 chance of leg clot, stroke, heart attack. If you smoke, the risk increases to 1 in 10,000. The benefits can be decreased bleeding, decreased risk of ovarian cancer. For more complete information you can look on line and search birth control pill. In addition, before taking the pill, you must see your gynecologist to go over all the risks and benefits for your particular case.
