Although the level is high for a cycle day 3 FSH level, it is still possible to get pregnant. Scott et al used the FSH level to predict IVF success rates, however most doctor now use it to get an idea of ovarian reserve ie the ability of the ovaries to produce a good egg.  It can only be a general guiding test, not a test that would determine for sure whether or not you can get pregnant. Age is also an important independent factor for predicting possiblity of pregnancy. If you are younger ie less than 35 years of age the FSH is less important to predict likelihood of pregnancy. If you are older ie 40 years or older, your age is a more important determining factor for likelihood of getting pregnant than FSH. It is not appropriate to use FSH as a determinant of whether you can get pregnant or not. However, it can be used to help you decide if you want to use different assisted reproductive technologies and at what pace you want to proceed. With a level like 13, you may decide to proceed with fertility treatment as soon as possible rather than waiting and depending on your age, your doctor can give you an idea of the likelihood of success of any particular treatment. But humans are not statistics and we all know stories of people who were told by their doctor that they could not get pregnant because of their FSH level or age and then beat the odds and became pregnant.

I m 40 and i'm being trying to get pregnant for 4years now .
They found me with a big fibroid at the time my fhs whose 11 they did a sergery (surgery) on me.
Then a year later the fibroid whose back as big as before i just had
another surgery that when she tell me that my fhs is 13 and i can't get pregnant if i don't do IVF do you really think is my only option ???
