ivf med side effects 28 days after retrieval is this possible????????

Hello,  I think I am having side effects from the infertility meds but my egg retrieval was exactly 28 days ago and the ivf cycle did not take.  However, I am having the same exact symptoms just not quite as bad (nausea, bloating, headache diahhrea and general maliase)  that I did from the 5th day that I was on the fertility meds.  I had ovarian hyperstimulation symptoms but never any cyst or free fluid and 22 eggs were retrieved.  I am 38 years old and have been ttc for 2 1/2 years and they have done every test even exploratory lap surgery and have found nothing wrong.  My husband also has absolutely nothing wrong that can be found.  Out of the 22 eggs from the ivf 16 fertilized naturallly, 8 were frozen on day 2 and 4 more became 5 day blasts.  2 were transferred and the other 2 frozen.  I am on day 10 of my cycle ( I am not doing anything this month decided to take a few months off before frozen transfer) and think that my ovarys may still be stimulated and now my own stimulating hormones have kicked in and my ovaries are not happy again. Have you ever heard of this?  Any  help would be greatly appreciated.  T

Yes, you may be experiencing these symptoms as a part of recovery from your ovarian stimulation. You may also have some residual cyst formation from the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. I suggest keeping the similar type diet and fluid intake as you did for the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome like drinking gatorade and eating a high protein diet. I would also have your ovaries checked by your REI by ultrasound to see if there are any cysts or if you are having an accumulation of fluid in your pelvis.

Thank you so much for your answer.  I am doing exactly what you said and the symptoms are slowly subsiding.  Is it possible to also ovulate natually while experiencing all of these syptoms (symptoms)?  I will make an appointment tomorrow to have my ovaries checked by ultrasound.  Thanks again I was starting to think that I was losing my mind.  I have several friends who are either doing ivf now or who have recently and I am the only one who has had these problems.
