low sperm morphology

low sperm morphology

I am about to start trying to conceive with a donor via self-insemination.  He has had a routine semen analysis done.  He has very high scores on sperm count, concentration, motility & rapidly progressive.   He is however just over the line (33% by WHO standards) for morphology.   This was the 2nd time he was tested and similar results were found first time around.  He was assessed by the 'strict criteria' on the first test and morphology only come in at 7% (3 weeks apart).    Is his low morphology likely to make conception difficult?

You need two semen analysis at least 70 day apart to see if there is a real morphology problem. Strict criteria is also a better standard. So two abnormal 3 weeks apart is not diagnostic.
