Im 18 4'9 and 82 lbs! I was told that me missing a period was because of my size! So I got on birth control and it fixed my period, but I was only on it for 3 months (doctor perscribed) and after the 3 months I got my period 2 months after! and now I havent gotten one for another 2 months! what is going on!?

If you continue not to get your periods, then you should see your doctor for a hormonal workup. They should see if you hypthalamic-pituitary hormones are normal like FSH, LH, Prolactin, TSH. Because of your height, they may suggest checking your chromosomes too especially if you never had a period on your own--only when given the birth control pill.

no! Im not pregnant! I had blood taken and everything so I think it could be just because of my size! the doctor said it could be the reason also, but i dont want her to give me pills to make me gain weight or anything because I think thats what she is trying to do. yikes!
