no period

no period

i have always had irregular period from teen ager, i never took it serious, when i got married, i started taking diane 35 which the doctor said would help my period to regularized, it turns out that after 5 years now of finally coming off the diane 35 i have not had a period.

i went to the doctor and she gave me provera 5m to take for 5 days, still no period, so i up the dose to 10mg for 10 days, its been 4 months i stopped taking them and still i have no period.

When i am on birth contol i have a normal period, the doctor said it a fake period, which i still do not understand the meaning of a fake period.

A "fake period" is one that is induced by taking exogenous hormones like the birth control pill. If you ovulate regular you should have regular periods and it look like you do not  ovulate and therefore have to have periods brought on by taking hormone. I would suggest to have a hormone work up to determine why you do not have regular periods and if you are interested in pregnancy, I suggest seeing a specialist called a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist.

Thanks that was very much helpful, i want to find out all the possibilities before i see a specialist to know what it is that i am dealing with.

i do want to get pregnant. i live in a country where certain things are not readily available and even if it does it will cost me a arm and a leg.

If i am able to have a regular period on birth control, but even thou taken provera and still does not have a period how likely it is after never having a regular period at the age of 14 now 29 to have a regular period to get pregnant?

Is it possible that my ovories working properly but my hormones are not in place? i am curious even with a fake period, is it possible that i could just be having a period but i have abnormal uterus?

I want to have a child, but in the back of mind i am prepared to accept if i am not able to have a child at the age of 29 and always having issues with having a normal period.

i started menstration when i was 14, when it can it lasted for 2 days and was never bright red, more dark in color, and it would come maybe 3 times for the year, then at the age of 24 i started taking diane 35 which made me had a period every month.

stop taking in january, i had a period in january, had one after i was off in febuary and never agian, even with provera 10mg non.
