About This Group:

This is a forum for everyone from around the globe to share their recipes. I am aware that there is a forum for healthy cooking, that's why I thought of starting this one so every recipe can get out there. Recipes don't necessarily have to be "healthy". But do make sure they are tasty. Not trying to encourage an unhealthy diet, but once in a while, you do crave to eat something that might not be considered a part of a healthy diet. Obviously, yes everyday meals should be healthy. Also if someone posts a recipe and you try it with some addition to it and you liked, please post it again so we can have different versions of the same dish.

4 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

1 (16 ounce) cans garbanzo beans
1 (16 ounce) cans white beans
2 garlic cloves

Directions:Prep Time: 30 minsTotal Time: 1 1/4 hr

1Put the meat in a bowl. Add grated onion and salt and pepper and mix well. Make meat balls the size of walnuts.2Put yogurt in a 3-qt pot. Add rice, egg, flour and mix well. Add water. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for about 20 minutes or until it thickens and rice cooks.3Add meat balls to the yogurt mixture and let simmer for 10 minutes.4Add greens and beans and let simmer for 15 minutes. Can substitute fresh beans for canned.5Stir often to avoid curdling.6As a soup garnish, chop one or two cloves of garlic and saute in butter, add dried mint, about 1 tablespoon, and put a teaspoonful of this hot garlic sauce on each plate of yogurt soup when serving.
