Will the pain go away with phisical therapy

I have bilateral empididamyl cysts  and i have extream physical pain. I was told that I have bad mussal retention in my pelvic floor and have been sent to a physical therapist. The problem is that I'am in such bad pain that I cant do anything that the physical therapist wants me to do. At this point i am trying to get a second opion. I honstly fell like my body is shutting down i have lost over 15 pounds in the last 6 weeks i wake up in the middle of the night drinched in my own sweat and have really bad hedaches. My question is should i even try to keep going to the physical therapist or move on and try to find out what is really wrong with me.

Hi,  I assume you are male since you stated you have bilateral ?epididymal cysts. It sounds like you have been diagnosed with some sort of pelvic floor tension or pain problem.  Its not uncommon for patients with pelvic pain to have a tense, painful, nonrelaxing pelvic floor and urethral sphincter. The pelvic floor problem can be the primary problem or pain/inflammation/infection from somewhere else can be causing the pelvic floor to go into spasm. Neurological problems can cause muscle spasms as well.  I assume you are not having pain in your testicles (epididymal cysts) as a primary cause of your pain.  A careful physical exam by a pain specialist can sort out the location of the pain.  If the pelvic floor muscles are the primary problem, muscle relaxers, heat and physical therapy to provide muscle relaxation and release of painful trigger points are the standary treatment.  I would immediately recommend a hot bath twice daily, just soak in water as hot as you can stand it and see if it helps. Its unclear what is triggering the sweats and headaches but you need to find out if there is an underlying problem for it all.  You need to see a Urologist with expertise in pelvic pain.  Usually they are the Urologists who specialize in Interstitial Cystitis. It may take a team of doctors to sort this out.  You do need a work up to rule out other problems that could be making the muscles sore. I would recommend a major medical center in your city or state as a place to get started.  Good Luck.
