Hi,  The best way to help your sister is to make sure she is in the hands of a provider that has expertise in treating Interstitial Cystitis. It really makes a difference when you are being treated by someone who knows what works, and what doesn't. It takes someone who has treated hundreds of IC patients, and who is up on the current research to provide the best, state of the art care.  This is a frustrating disease for the patient and doctor, and understanding on everyone's part is important.  Go the the website "ichelp.org" to get the latest info on treatment options, research, and to find an expert provider in your area.  Good Luck
