Bladder Instillations for IC

I was diagnosis with IC about six months ago. I recently begain bladder instillations six weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone else has had these done and if they have helped. I have one more week of the instillations and I have seen no improvement. The nurse who does the instillation seems to think that everything should be good by now, but like I said I have noticed no improvement. During the first week of the instillation I developed a kidney stone. I don't know if that was just a rare occurance or something caused by the instillation. I don't know what the next step will be if this doesn't work. Can anyone shed any light on these bladder instillations and if they did or did not work for them.
Thanks in advance.
Tracy

I did all the bladder instillations for years for my IC and it never had helped! The DSMO instillation actually caused me to be in severe pain and makes your mouth and breath smell like strong garlic.

Hi Buckeygirl, welcome to the Urogynecology Community and sorry for the delay in reply, was out of town. This post should actually be in the IC community, the Urogynecology Forum is for pelvic organ prolapse related concerns. I'm going to contact administration and have them forward your post over there. Hang on, someone will get back to you shortly and good luck!
