Cyst or cancer?

Hi, I have a small lump on my face about the diameter of a dime. I went to the doctor and he said he thinks it's a cyst, but since I don't have insurance, I never received any tests to confirm his belief. I had a friend cut a slice in my face and remove the cyst completely, but it is now starting to grow back. I'm not sure if I am being paranoid, but it seems like that side of my entire body is somewhat thicker/swollen and I am also feeling minor headaches often. Is this something I should be worried about or do you think I am just paranoid? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but keep in mind that I cannot afford any expensive treatments (no insurance ..). thanks
