Frequent Urination

I have been experiencing frequent urination for the past 2 months. I do not experience any other symptoms. I do not have any burning or pain. I just feel the urge to urinate every 1-2 hours. The color of my urine is also normal. There has been no change in the amount of fluids i consume. My thyroid is normal and i am not diabetic. Also, my urinalysis and urine culture have come out normal. What could be causing this? Please help

I went to a urologist but it didnt help. I got ultrasound of my pelvis and kidneys done and it turned out normal. Can you please tell me how can it be identified if i have overactive bladder syndrome, growths/ masses, neuromuscular issues, hormonal/ endocrine/ autonomic disturbances? Are there any tests? I also suffer from disturbed sleep due to frequent urine. Please help!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Aside diabetes increased urine output can be caused by anxiety, infections, inflammations, certain medications/ drugs and foods, overactive bladder syndrome, growths/ masses, neuromuscular issues, hormonal/ endocrine/ autonomic disturbances etc. It would be best to get this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed or suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
