Pancriatitis & hypodense lesion in the right renal hilum

Dear Sir / Madam

my brother in law has been suffering from pain in obdomen since 1-09-2010. he took medical care in 3 hospitals. now he is taking medication in ESI Hospital. now in the CT Scan the result is as under.

Impression:
1. Collections in lessar sac and pancreatic tail region with adjacent fat stranding.
2. evidence of an elipsoid 4.7 x 2.6 cm sized hypodense lesion showing mild enhancement seen in the region of right renal hilium causing mild displacement of IVC. No clacification seen.

---? SCHWANOMMA
---? GANGLIONEUROMA (UNLIKELY)

3. Minimal left pleural effusion

is there any serious with hypodense lesion, will it require surgery.

Pl advise me.

Thanking you,

M.Venugopala Chary
