Dear Arti Sharma,
Thank you very much for your valid reply which I certainly did appreciate!
Well, after 5 days everything was back to normal and according to my doctor, the problem was due to the fact that I already had BPH for many years, so that my stream was already quite weak prior of this biopsy...
With kind regards from Switzerland,
Philip Borel
In transperineal template biopsy some of the samples are taken from areas closer to the urethra, which runs through the prostate. This results in greater chances of temporary voiding difficulty and urinary retention. It usually lasts only a day or two, and is easy to treat. Other possible problems of this procedure are blood poisoning, bleeding, urinary tract infection and blood in the urine .If the symptoms are severe and persistent it is suggested to talk to your doctor and discuss your concerns. Hope it helps.
Best wishes and regards!
