10 year old with aortic root dilation

My 10 year old daughter has a PFO and bicuspid aortic valve.  Her echocardiogram from 5 years ago revealed these, after her PCP noted a new heart murmur.  At that time I was told to follow up with cardiology in 5 years.  This was done and now she has new aortic root dilation. (And the cardiologist...same one....wondered why I hadn't brought her back sooner!)  The cardiologist stated that we should just continue yearly echo's and monitor her with no restrictions.  I am a bit concerned and want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing.  She has no s/s of any distress, other than getting a bit short of breath at times, but usually is fine.  Thank you for any advice you may be able to give.

Aortic root dilatation is common with a bicuspid aortic valve and it needs to be followed by serial echos--yearly seems appropriate to me.  I agree with the current approach.
