I should add that I am also on Advair 250/50, two puffs a day. One final question: Why would the diagnosis have been CHF rather than a myocarditis or cardiomyopathy or something. The CHF thing scared the **** out of me, considering the doctor who released me gave me no information or instructions upon going home They had moved me from ICU to the regular hospital and this doctor had no clue that I had just been near death. Thanks for your thoughts on this -- doctors need to be more careful

The viral myocarditis caused the cardiomyopathy which then produced the congestive heart failure.
