You are right, if you have problem of circulation in your legs from atherosclerosis, you could have blockages in your heart blood vessels as well.

The best thing you can do for claudication is walk, walk, walk.  Yes, it will be painful BUT stop when the cramp starts, rest a minute or two and then restart.  If you are sedentary, you are asking for it to get worse.  AND yes, you should see a cardiologist.  Change whatever dr you are going to now too (especially if he/she didn't say walk, walk, walk!

see newstart.org or call Weimar Institute in California, Lifestyle Center of America in Oklahoma, Ucchi Pines in Alabama, Black Hills Health and Education Center in South Dakota. These people can give you more options too, if none of these is close to you. Worth every cent. Cheaper than a used car, but you only get one body!

Thanks so much for the advice.. i went to the doctor yesterday. i told him i was not very happy.. that he didn't even as much suggest . the simple things like taking an aspirin every day.. he told me your poor mother suffered terrible. i said then it is wrong that you seem to feel . it is alright that i suffer the same fate.it ended up that i had a bad foot infection is both feet.. which of course we know. is dangerous with poor circulation. i did however ask him. why is it that i have not been refer to a cardiologist ..his reply was that it has no affect your heart yet.. he did however finally suggest. walk walk walk.....thanks for taking the time to answer my email. and giving me some hope. and the courage to demand to be looked after..
