Cardiomegaly and other symptoms

I recently found out I have an enlarged heart (>55%) when I went to a cardiologist because of jaw pain and heart palpitations. I am a 29 year old female, my total cholesterol is 152 and HDL is 77. Blood pressure is usually normal.  My parents both have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and my paternal grandfather died of a heart attack in his 50s. The jaw pain is only on the right side and only when I exercise (walking, mowing the lawn, etc.), but the palpitations can be anytime.  I am taking armour thyroid for hypothyroid, as well as Frova for frequent migraine headaches. Could the headaches be related to a heart condition?  Could the jaw pain be related to something other than the heart?  The cardiologist seems worried about my symptoms, and now has me scheduled for a heart cath.  Can he see other things besides blocked arteries?  But stress test was normal (maybe we didn't go long enough since I didn't get the jaw pain during the test?) and EKG was normal.  3 years ago I was running 5 miles a day... now I'm lucky if I can run a mile or two once or twice a week.  I did have extreme fatigue about a year ago but I thought that was from the hypothyroid since that improved quite a bit (not fully) once I started taking the Armour Thyroid.  Thanks for the help...

I am not sure what the 55% refers to--if it is ejection fraction then this is in the  normal  range.  It sounds like you are at low risk for heart disease and you might seek another opinion before having a heart cath.
