Earlobe Crease on both ears

Is there any relationship between a crease in both earlobes in regards to heart disease?  I've developed a crease in both earlobes this past week.  I'm on meds for high bp and also for low potassium.  I've had high CRP levels (5.1 and 4.7) in the past, family history of heart disease (dad died of heart attack), very fatigued, dizzy (zaps) spells, chest pressure over the last couple of years.  I've also developed numbness/heaviness in both hands and feet every morning before getting out of bed for the last 6 weeks or so.  I'm a 40 yr old female, 5'3, 127 lbs.

My primary doctor doesn't seem to feel there's any problem.  I had a normal stress test done 7 years ago and she said I don't have enough symptoms to warrant repeating the test.

I haven't talked to my doctor since the I noticed the earlobe crease....I thought I would see if anyone on this forum has an opinion regarding this.  Thanks in advance for any help!

The earlobe crease issue has been around since the 1970's. I read one article in a science magazine dated around 1984.  It indicated a relationship between the fiberous tissues in the earlobe changing with the aging process and how that same process is involved with cardio vascular disease.  I notice creases developing in my earlobe and then decreasing when  I take vitamin E for a few days. My blood pressure rises and falls with the degree of creasing in the earlobe. I have seen this pattern repeat for the past 5 years so tend think there is something going on there.

There is no significant  data that relates ear lobe creases to heart disease.  However your symptoms clearly  warrant an evaluation.

I would find another doctor and get a work up done.  I think your doctor is being a bit optimistic assuming that a stress test done 7 years ago means things are still ok.

There is some data suggesting ear lobe creases indicate artery problems. Try doing some research and then get yourself to your doctor.  Take charge of your health, it is your body and your life and unfortunately doctors are not always right.

Best Wishes.......let us know the outcome.

Earlobe creases are more common as people get older. People have more cadiovascular problems when they get older.
