In stent thrombosis

In stent thrombosis

My wife had an  MI from a clot in a stent in April (2nd one in 3 yrs).  The Dr put in another longer stent (Medtronic) to reopen the artery. Her troponin level was elevated at the time but nothing showed on the EKG. Since that time her BP which was high is now low (85/60)  to normal (140/80) but her heart rate is very irregular and fast.  She has anginal pains back again (at 2 mos) and is following the same pattern she did the last time before her event.  Can a fast irregular (many skipped beats) heart rate lend itself to another thrombosis in the new stent?

The fast heart rate can cause angina but should not lead to stent thrombosis.  She should be an triple anti-platelet therapy if she has had stent thrombosis, ie plavix, aspirin and cilostazol.
