Is it angina or not?

Is it angina or not?

I have a question!
I suffer strange burning in the neck, under the jaw, it feels like a I being suffocated. When I walk (I am 67 years old, always been active) I feel sort like pressure above clavicle bones, not at the centre of chest. Then it calms down when I sit down. Other times I can work around the house and nothing happens. Doctor says it is caused by acid reflux and by my nerves, but I know lots of things are written off to nerves and then it ends up being something else. Year and half ago I had stress test, which on exercise I had 1 mm gently upsloping ST depression inferiorly, whatever that means. Echo said trivial central mitral regurgitation, trivial pulmonic regurgitation and no evidence of stenosis on Doppler. No evidence of significant valvular heart disease. Normal left and right ventricular dimension and systolic function with no discrete wall motion abnormalities identified. Sometimes I also have this burning sometimes when I am sitting down. I also have degenerative disc disease at multiple levels in the lower cervical spine. Could this burning be from the spine?  My doctor doesn't want to do anymore about the problem.

I would be very very concerned your symptoms are cardiac.  Insist on a stress test and likely you will need a cath.  You should do this soon.
