Spinal Tap

Is it possible to go into cardiac arrest if the spinal tap administered wrong?

I suppose it is possible but I would think very unlikely.  If you had pain from the procedure you might pass out from neurocardiogenic syncope but this is not a true cardiac arrest.

During planned c-section for my baby, I went into cardiac arrest 40 seconds after the spinal tap was administered, and had to be resuscitated. I was diagnosed with peri partum cardiomyopathy. I had no signs such as high blood pressure, or swelling. In fact, my blood pressure was perfect all through out my pregnancy. I believe it was the spinal tap. Is this possible?
