Stents and Radio Waves

Stents and Radio Waves

I am a 53 yr woman. Had a MI 6 mos ago. I had 3 stents implanted in my right coronary artery plus a blood clot removed.  The bottom rear right side of my heart was damaged.   Can you please tell me how long it takes to feel normal again?  I am so tired all the time.  My cardiologist recently adjusted my meds. Currently taking - AM: Plavix 75mg / Lisnopril 20mg / Baby Asprin .81mg - PM:  Crestor 10mg & 20mg (alternating days) / Lopressor 25mg.  I'm still very tired when I get home after working an 8 hour day.  Most of the time I take a nap before dinner.  I went to cardic rehab until the end of Dec 07 then returned to work.  I neglected to continue my excerise routine- I was too tired by the time I got home.  It's been approx 4-6 weeks since I worked out on a regular basis. Just started walking at lunch and I noticed a tightness in my chest and upper arms along with a shortness of breath.  If I stop walking and rest and it goes away.  Should I be worried about this or could it be from the lack excerise in past 4-6 weeks?  Do I just need to build up my endurance again? Now I have one more problem.... It seems my stent implants are picking up some type of radio waves! This happened a few weeks ago. The first time was at home while using my cordless phone (not a cell phone) when I moved the receiver away from my mouth to talk to my husband in the other room.  I put the receiver close to my chest. All of a sudden we heard a loud high pitched squeal as if someone was adjusting a microphone on stage.  I didn't believe it at first so I tried it again. To my suprise it did it again! and again! and again!   It also happened when I used a phone with a radio in the base.   We did just set up a wireless computer network in our home. Could that be interferring with my stents?  My cardiologist has never heard of stents doing this.  I just want to know if this could be damaging my heart or the stents.  Thanks and I'll be waiting for your answer!

I have never heard or read about anything like this and suspect that there is some other exlplanation for the radio waves.  Your symptoms however might be related to your medicines and you might consider talking with your doctor re  the beta blocker metoprolol (lopressor) which could cause the lack of energy and poor exercise tolerance.  You might benefit form switching this medicine to nadolol which is less likely to cause this problem.
