Stress test results

Please explain Cardiolite stress test results in simple, layman`s terms.
Findings:
A large nontransmural ,nonreperfusable photopenic defect is demonstrated inferiorly extending into the apex.
A small nontransmural , nonreperfusable photopenic defect is demonstrated septally.
The wall motion is unremarkable.
The ejection rate is 60 %.

These are defects (areas of the heart)  where the counts of radioactivity are decreased.  This can be due to a prior heart attack or absorption of the radioactivity by the soft tissues of the body.  The fact that the wall motion and ejection fraction are normal likely means that the test has an artifact due to the soft tissue absorbing the radioactivity.  This result can occur when the test is done in patients who are large and have alot of soft tissue to absorb the radioactivity from the isotope used in the study.
