Troponin levels

Troponin levels

not sure if I am posting in the right area.
I am a 32 year old. Non smoking female with went to the hospital with chest pains last week. it was discovered that my Troponin I level was in a "grey area". The level was 0.08. The dr had me restested and it went down to 0.04, the ekg was normal and the other two blood heart marker tests were normal. I am sitting here freaking out, wondering.. should they of taken from the same area to test me again (the lab person drew from a small vein in my hand for the second test). am I on the edge of a having a heart attack. My chest is so tight and I am freaking out. Please help. Why was it eleveated?.. Dr did not seem concerned, just sent me home after the second test done 3 hours after the first. should I go see a cardiologist now?

The upper limit for troponin I varies depending on the assay so i do not know what the upper limit was on your testing facility.  However, if you are having symptoms you need to be evaluated and this should be done soon.
