belching in the presence of an inferior mi

I was recently presented with a question that I have been unable to find a definite answer for.  During a recent chest pain lecture that I was a part of presenting, the discussion of signs and symptoms for the MI of course, included belching as a popular one for the inferior MI.  I have been unable to find a reason why belching is so prevelant with the inferior.  Any thoughts?

thank you,

The belching is likely due to vagal nerve stimulation which occurs in inferior MI and also results in bradycardia.
