coreg

I recently had mitral valve repair surgery.  My doctor wants me to take coreg because my heart function is at 45%.  Before I had the surgery my heart function was in the normal range.  My blood pressure runs low 104/64.  He wants me to take the lowest dose.  My question is what will happen if I decide not to take it?

This drug Coreg is very effective at improving the heart function and it likely will give you the best chance of restoring your heart function to normal.  Generally, the drug is gradually increased to higher doses as the effect is related to the dose ie, the higher the dose the more beneficial effect on the heart function.
