heart failure staphylococcus

I'm wondering why cardiologist told to drink diet coke  nothing would stop the long standing chronic cough with big thick chunks of muccus  well it worked and still is  but have to drink 2 or 3 a day.  but it hasn't stopped the chronic severe itching and numbness

I have no idea why your cardiologist advised that you drink diet coke -- unless he/she was trying to get you to switch from the regular calorie/high sugar coke...personally, that is the only time I recommend drinking diet soda
