question on inderal

hi, i was given inderal for inappropriate sinus tachy probalby caused by anxiety..   of course i'll "follow my doctors instructions"  but i was wondering is it generally okay to take beta's on a random, as needed basis.    For example,   one day I might not need any at all if I don't leave the house,    but I could take 20-40 mg  before a trip to the grocery store or whatever to keep from having panic induced tachy.      Also, I was wondering, since I like to workout for 30 minutes per day,   I guess it's dumb to take inderal before you workout,  but I was wondering what effect it would have to take it right after you workout?   (it seems like beta blockers are the opposite of exercise  so i was wondering what effects on me will all this  adrenaline flip flopping have on me?

As a general rule one does not treat sinus tachycardia per se --you look for the underlying cause of the tachycardia and treat that.  You can take Inderal at a low dose intermittenly as you are but a good exercise program will do wonders to lower your heart rate.
