strange feeling in chest

Hi,

I have a history of sinus tachycardia currently take Toprol 12.5 mg/day.  I also have had some pvc's in the past.  Out of the blue this morning I felt like my chest was falling in, sort of like a drop in an elevator.  I felt my pulse and it was very rapid for @ 5 seconds.  This really scared me.  This is like nothing I have ever felt before.  Is is something I should be concerned about?  Do I need to make another appt. with my cardiologist.   What could this possibly be.  Thank you.

I do think you should see your cardiologist. You may need a monitor to check your rhythm
