tests on heart

I just had an echocardialgraphy and stress test done. they both came back normal. I am still having shortness of breath, heaviness in my chest and alot of pressure from my chest up tthrough my neck into my temples. Bending over causes extreme shortness of breath and heaviness in chest. Is it possible for these tests to come back normal and still have a heart problem. I have another appointment with my Dr. but not for three weeks yet and I'm wondering if maybe I need to see a lung Dr. instead. with times being tough I hate to spend more money on the wrong type of Dr

The accuracy of the stress test depends on the type you had.  An exercise echocardiogram and a nuclear stress test generally are 85% accurate and if you had one of these tests it is fairly unlikely your symptoms are cardiac related.  A regular stress test without imaging is less accurate maybe 65% or so.  I would talk to the doctor and see if you could be seen sooner.
