water retention leg swelling

water retention leg swelling

I have minimal mitral valve regurgitation diagnosed ten years ago. Over the last six months ,I have noticed if I am on my feet all day ,my legs swell. My left leg swells more then my right and goes completely back to normal with increased water and a night's sleep. I don't have any other symptoms. Any advice?

You may have bad veins in your legs that could produce this symptom and unlikely this is related to the mitral valve.  I would suggest that you see a doctor and be re-evaluated to make sure nothing has changed.
