Abdominal and back pain

Hi,
I am having abdominal pain bit away from belly button on left side. The pain is more at one point. I am having back pain as well on left side, more near the same point as front, but also left side lower back. I have been to doctor and they say I have IBS and mechanical back pain. Somehow I feel there is something else. Can you please guide?

Welcome to the IBS community!  Have you had any changes in your bowel movements?  If not, then it is unlikely that this is IBS.

Well I wouldnt take the back part too seriously. on the side of your back there isnt much there besides your kidney. If your kidney was messed up you would know for sure, you would be extremely ill. I have had pain there too, there isnt really anything over there so most likely its somewhere in the intestine that is hurting. Try chewing your food better, really think about chewing each bite 25 times.
