Amitiza or Alli ????

by anom12, Jan 03, 2008 10:31PM
Hi- I took the 'new' Amitiza for approx 3 weeks and it didn't do anything for me.  I barely went to the bathroom and if anything, it made it feel more difficult to go.  I was hoping that taking this would help me out.
Now I am seriously considering taking the 'new' diet pill Alli since all I hear about it for side effects is people constantly going to the bathroom...I can afford to loose about 10 lounds, so hey, if it helped wih that, great...if not- I just want something to make me go!  I've tried the fiber, laxatives, teas, everything you can think of...Miralx.... they just don't work for me.

I have pretty much the same problem.  Last summer my husband took a picture of me and my grandaughter.   When I saw it I was astounded at how I looked 8mos pregnant.

For some reason I confided in another gym member.   He introduced me to the herb Cascara Sagrada.   It was expensive from him but pretty cheap from Puritan Pride.com
I use it every day and have great results.   My tummy has gone down alot.

You sound just like me up until a couple of months ago. How old are you by the way?  I tried EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine including the same things you tried and nothing helped.  I hate to admit this, but I resorted to harsh laxative overuse for the past 8 years (on a daily basis).  Along with that I was having to also use liquid glycerin enemas (like those baby enemas), and I was taking fiber supplements 3 times a day.  Then a couple of months ago, I saw an ad on TV for Kellogg's All-Bran l0 Day Challenge for regularity. It took a few days to work, but I tell you it was like a celebration around here when I realized that  I had finally found something that worked!   I eat it every single day (morning or night) and if I can't find it at the store I almost panic...that's how well it works for me.  I do still take 2 Fibercon supplements daily and 1 Acidophilus capsule nightly (promotes intestinal health).  But, praise God, I haven't had to take anymore Dulcolax and enemas! The cereal I use is the All-Bran Original, and I usually eat a banana with it.  Please do yourself a favor and try this.  I hope it helps...let me know, okay?
