Barium Enema test - help!

by jasonlumar, Nov 13, 2008 03:07PM
I had a Barium Enema test today and I am discharge a white-watery substance when I go to the washroom (not when I urinate). Is this normal and will it go away? I've drank 10 glasses of water and it has not helped. I am so embarassed.

It is still probably from the barium enema. This can take ( I would think ) a few days to get rid of. I have never had the barium enema, but I think that is what is causing the white watery discharge.

I have a CT scan done once a year and I have to drink this white milky looking drink before the scan and it never fails my bm's are usually a white tanish color for about 2 days afterwards. You can imagine how I freaked out over this and my doctor told me it was normal.

If it doesn't clear up in a few days call your doctor if you are concerned.
