Blood during bowel movements

Blood during bowel movements

Hey, i am new here.
Im a 16 yr old male. It started maybe 5-6 months ago. I started getting small amounts of blood during bowel movements. After maybe a month this cleared up and it seemed i was in the clear.

Then it came back. Maybe about 2 months ago now, alot larger amounts of blood started to come during bowel movements. Progressively getting worse up until this very moment. The amount of blood turns all the water in the bowl bright red. And when during bowel movements it seems to 'drip' out.

The beggining period of this 2 months, no pain was present along with the blood. During the 2 months a pain has progressivly come along and worsened with each bowel movement. It feels as if i am passing out a broken stick or something each time, it makes me afraid to go to the toilet. After bowel movements also, it leaves an area right under my stomach quite sore. Not like im feeling sick. But a more 'tender' sort of pain.

I want to talk about the recent bowel movements which has me very worried. Every time after, when i wipe. I look at the paper towel to see if it seems to have subsided a little. But when i looked today. There was a big piece of blood. Like a umm, a 2cmx1cm pillow if that makes sense.

Anyways this condition has me very afraid to go to the toilet. and very afraid of my health. Also i might add sometimes ive been feeling light headed. Not sure if that will help but yes.

Any help is appriciated. and if you need to know any additional info please just ask.

I know this is a very plain thing to say, but see a doctor that sounds serious, have you told your parents?

no i havent told my parents yet. Only a very close friend. I just feel extremely embarrassed by it. And would feel id have to lie to my parents about what im going to the doctors for, because they are bound to ask questions.

hey man you need to really go see a doctor and tell your parents about this condition, it could very serious and the earlier you get there the better you have nothing to be embarrased about, except for how ridiculous you sound for not facing the truth, please go see a doctor as soon as you can, i wish you good health in the future :)

What you are describing sounds more like UC or ulcerative colitis. This is an inflammation of the large intestine.  There are medications used to treat however the longer you wait for diagnosis the the more involved your treatment becomes. For instance feeling light headed is an indicator that you have waited longer than you should have. More than likely have lost more blood than you realize causing orthostatic hypotension (dizziness when you stand up quickly) You need to see a gastroenterologist  in order to be properly diagnosed and treated.
