Clear liquid

Hello,  I am not sure if this is related to IBS or not.  I have had some bowel problems for past five years, constipation etc.  One morning last week I woke to find lots of clear liquid had come from my anus.  This liquid had no odour and was not diarrhea.  I had this happen a couple of times during the day but not such large amount.  I am never aware of happening until I feel the dampness on my clothes. Should I see a Dr about this?

I've apparently got Irritable Bowel Syndrome and have had clear liquid come from my anus too, it's a bit like a mucus at times, just clear and sometimes It'll be yellow too and be on my stools, sometimes I'll feel like I need the toilet and just pass this liquid. You should go to your doctor about it just to get a check up but I really don't think it's anything more than IBS if that's what you have been diagnosed with by a doctor themselves. Hope all is well, x

I have recently had the same problem.  I was diagnosed forever ago with IBS, but find that the diagnosis is a bit like being told you have a cold... nothing they can do about it, and it generally covers all your symptoms that they cannot explain.  I fell asleep on the sofa last night and woke to wet panties, definitely NOT urine... also have had the urgency to bm, but only to  move liquid, or floating particles.  I have not sought medical attention at this time and am wondering if you ended up checking with your doctor about this symptom?  I have also recently been plagued with major headaches... don't know if related.  Hope you're feeling much better.  Oh, and by any chance does your water come from a well?

Hi ,
I have had abdominal pain and clear mucus discharge for about 13 months. I saw 2 different doctors, both diagnosed me with IBS. I refused to accept it because it didn't seem right (I have read a lot about IBS). I went for a 3rd opinion and after endoscopy my 3rd doctor (who I believe is genius) , found the reason (of course, he tested the tissue first)- it is helicobacter gastritis. terrible virus, but is curable with 2 different antibiotics for 14 days. If goes untreated, it becomes cancerous. PLEASE don't settle for IBS when it comes to mucus discharge, seek another opinion and have them tested you for helicobacter virus. I wanted to share this info as I searched the web in hope of answeres and didn't find anything.
