Diarrhea AND constipation?

In the past few days, I've suddenly had an upset stomach and diarrhea at least once per day. When I have diarrhea, I get a very sudden, urgent need to relieve myself (like 20-30 seconds to get my rear on a toilet). However, when I go to do this, very little actually comes out at once. I find myself having to run to the toilet every 10 minutes for nearly an hour to get all of it to come out. I also feel like my abdomen is slightly distended, but it could just be me letting my belly hang out because my stomach hurts so much.

Would this be considered constipation as well as diarrhea? Could this have been caused by my recent round of antibiotics (amoxicillin for strep throat) or does this sound more like IBS?

If this has only been going on for a few days, then this is not IBS.  I would recommend starting a probiotic because of your recent antibiotics, and if it continues to see your doctor.
